Complete your social profile BIO. There are two parts what you can take advantage of when you create your profile, don’t underestimate the importance of the BIO – people actually reading it and if you write some typical salestalk sentence and not difernciate at all, no one cares and get interested – after all, the attention span is very short due overload of information.

Connect to your friends.

  • Follow people who you know and don’t be shy to let them know about your business.  Ask for a refferals & invite them to try whatever service you’re into, let them try and give you reviews,  to build up the network and refferals.  More and more people nowdays trust user generated content and recommendations more that advertising.
  • Look for your audience. Follow people who you know and who are in the same business as you, their followers will be the desired group for you too, learn from those established pages what makes them stick, like and interact and adapt those learnings into your social.
  • Communication is the key. Be open, be honest, be personal – ask questions, ask for a opinions, answer the comments and messages as soon as possible .

Don’t talk about you all the time.

  • Try to see the context from other side of the screen , what would make them interested on your business . Show the comapny culture, intorduce the team members, give some humor and provocation, so people can feel that they are communicating with someone genuine.
  • Post the content interesting to your audience – don’t be afraid to give “freebies ” advices, inteersting news, some tricks to use. People will appreciate it and see that you know your stuff.
  • Be consistent – with the style, with the “tone of voce” , with frequency of posting. You may think you already posted 2 times this week and it should be enough , but Social media doesent work ths way. If you want to stay in people mind you have to post consitently or you will be forgotted under next 100 similar profiles.
  • Start a conversation – be curious, use your audience for answers you need to understnad what is the motivation for actions for them.

Use the right hashtags #

  • You want to keep it cool, right ? It’s all very fine but unfortubaltly unless you have +50K followers, beeing cool is not the best srategy, right hashtags will display your fabulous content to the people who are not following yet but who are following hashtags of certain, location, business or search for it, so keeping it cool will leave you reach freezy , so swallow your bride and think – how would you seacrh yourself content / service what you have . If you hashtags are rleveant you will get the right target to look at you .
